CHRISTMAS WISHES is Armik's first full length recording of the holiday season's most often heard classics as well as two brand new songs - "Dancing Angels" and "Christmas Solo." You'll be charmed and intrigued by his distinctive guitar virtuosity, memorable time signatures, passionate rhythms, and spiritual connections with these beautiful Christmas hymns and carols. They are sure to evoke your fondest memories of the Yuletide season.
An assortment of your favorite holiday carols, traditional sacred and secular music open this stellar recording. Armik's Latin tempos work to such sublime perfection on his version of "Silent Night" which opens the program. This carol is played with pure melodic virtuosity and the essence of the Christmas spirit is captured in with an exotic flair.
Armik's emergence on to the music scene in the 1990s brought a new excitement to the world of Nuevo Flamenco as his technical prowess and melodic improvisations captured the imagination of his fans. CHRISTMAS WISHES should become a new holiday tradition all over the world because these carols and hymns are a special treat to savor and enjoy. This is truly jazz Yule love!
