As usual, sparks fly between the dueling alto saxes when the "heir apparent" Woods is joined by the seemingly unknown and definitely under-recorded Quill. Arrangements pay homage to the masters with material from Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker, Stan Getz and Dizzy Gillespie, none of which is foreign territory for any of the players. Another great Epic "Stereo-Rama" recording from producer Mike Berniker.
