‧ DMG and Edsel are proud to announce the re-issue programme for the catalogue of Liverpudlian country superstar Charlie Landsborough. The packages will include notes by Charlie himself, as well as all the lyrics and photos and ephemera from his own collection.
‧ Landsborough shot to fame in 1995 when he was featured on prime-time Irish TV, singing what has become his signature song “What Colour Is The Wind”. The song subsequently hit # 1 on the Irish charts, leading to success in the Scotland and the rest of the UK, before spreading to Australia and the US. He has won many Country music awards, as well as having his songs covered by the likes of George Hamilton IV.
‧ Charlie’s first album, “Songs From The Heart”, originally issued in 1992, was recorded in Ireland at the studio of Tony Allen of Foster & Allen, who had recorded Charlie’s song “I Will Love You All My Life”. “What Colour Is The Wind” followed in 1994. Charlie’s performance of the title song on Irish TV provided his breakthrough to worldwide success.
‧ The bonus tracks are wonderful live renditions from a concert at the Dublin Gaiety Theatre in 2000.
