When successful lawyer Robert Woodfield (Eric Roberts: Academy Award Nominee: Runaway Train) is the only witness to a murder committed by a former client, he is trapped by attorney/client privilege. Wrestling with his conscience, Woodfield turns to a friend in the D.A.'s office and begins to construct an airtight cast that will convict the killer. However, someone is framing Woodfield from within the police department and when Woodfields's friend is brutally killed, all evidence points to Woodfield's wife.
Realizing that no legal action will serve him, Woodfield finds himself right where the killer wants him. But what the killer doesn't realize, is that Woodfield is not above taking the law into his own hands. In the tradition of John Grisham's The Pelican Brief and The Firm comes a riveting legal thriller where no one can be trusted and everyone is fair game.
