Content:
The latest project of Atom Egoyan, Felicia's Journey, a psychosexual thriller featuring a calibrated perfomance from veteran actor Bob Hoskins. Adapted from the chilling novel by Lrish writer William Trevor, it takes place in industrial England and pastoral Lreland. With Egoyan's usual thematic concerns in place - psychological scars, displacement and alienation, the fear of intimacy, for example - the film starts off as a probe into human darkness but, in the director's inimitable way, offers redemption at the end.
