Synopsis:
Mercedes undoubtedly represented the "voice of Argentina" to the world, not only through the 36 CD's that comprised her life's musical work, but also as a tireless defender of human rights and freedom of expression, for which she was exiled from her native country for several years. Although she is no longer with us, she leaves behind a body of work of immeasurable value, full of music and hope. Her last project "Cantora", where she worked with the most important Latin artists of today, is a tribute to the extent of her influence. In this release Mercedes invites us once again to battle our prejudices, musical frontiers and ideologies, opening her art and heart to all of us.Mercedes has left us her voice and her message.
