- This is the Edsel label?s sixth release in its re-issue programme of legendary singer-songwriter Janis Ian?s catalogue. All the releases contain photos from her own collection.
- ?Billie?s Bones? was originally released in 2004, and co-produced by Janis, Jeff Balding and Marc Moreau. It was recorded in Nashville and includes the Woody Guthrie co-write ?I Hear You Sing Again? and guest vocals from Dolly Parton on ?My Tennessee Hills?.
- ?Folk Is The New Black?, released in 2005, sees Janis return to her roots with a true folk album ? in her own words: ?sparse but tasteful instrumentation underneath powerful lyrics of social and political social commentary, with enough variety to keep the listener beguiled?.
